William trouwde met Isabel de Clare, dochter van Richard Strongbow de Clare en Aoife MacMurrough, in Aug 1189 in London. (Isabel de Clare werd geboren omstreeks 1171, overleden in 1220 en werd begraven in Tintern Abbey.)
